A New Experience

So about 2 weeks ago I tried out a new approach to fitness. A friend and I signed up to take the introductory course at a local pole fitness studio. Yep, we went to stripper class, only it’s much more than that.

So many people are still associating pole fitness/dancing with the taboo idea of stripping, but this studio exhibited the upmost professionalism and hospitality, not to mention a kick-butt workout! From the first class, I was hooked!

If you’re in the Greenville, SC area, and would be interested in taking a pole fitness class, I highly recommend The Pole Academy. The instructors are amazing and truly work with you and encourage you. The workout is great; stimulating, fun, and I promise you will feel results almost immediately (my body was sore the very next morning, but the good kind of sore!)

New Year, New Goals

I’m sure you’ve all heard the overused and cliche phrase “New Year, New Me”, well I’m giving the saying a new little twist, same me, just with new goals for the new year. I have so much I hope to accomplish this year. My absolute main goal is to open my own boutique this next next year. I’ve tried to pursue more solid careers and degrees but my heart just isn’t into those ventures. Call me crazy but I’m going to actually take advice from another cliched saying, I’m going to follow my heart.

My darling mother, who deals with all of my crazy antics, purchased me a vinyl cutting machine for Christmas to see if I could use that to get my feet wet in the business world. Naturally I have slapped a monogram onto everything I own ! ๐Ÿ™ˆ I decided to open up an Etsy shop selling my vinyl creations and soon some other items such as custom home decor items, handmade jewelry, and maybe even clothes! Since I’m new at Etsy, mine looks a little rough at the moment, I would love to hear tips on how to improve my shop, traffic flow, and item photography skills from all you Etsy pros out there! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy New Year!20

That time of year again!

Ahh back to school. The bittersweet time of year when our beloved summer is coming to and end yet we are starting fresh into a new school year! As much as I love summer vacation, there is just something so satisfying about going back to school shopping, for both clothing and supplies ๐Ÿ˜‰ . The main focus of this post will be my must have supplies for the new semester, but don’t worry I’ll do a back to school fashion post ย very soon!

I am a planner fanatic, but if you know me I’m actually really terrible at keeping one. I’ll be diligent with it for about 2 weeks then just forget about it. I’m really going to try my best to keep one going this semester though! With my class load, I definitely could gain from it. My favorite planner this season in the Lilly Pulitzer 17 Month Large Agenda in Sparkling Sands. It’s the perfect size to keep in my book bag or even stick into my purse. Plus the pattern just really speaks to me ๐Ÿ˜‰ . The inside is just as cute as the outside and features a few pages of fun little stickers!

Now if you have a great planner, you’ll need great pens that will stay out and not smear all over your pages. My favorite pens are the Staedtler Triplis Fineliner Marker Pens. This are fantastic! They don’t smear, bleed through, and can be left uncapped for days without drying out, which is great if your forgetful like me! Plus they come in soooooo many colors!ย Fineliner Marker Pens

Hopefully this semester goes well for us all! Keep in mind that all this hard work will pay off in the end!

summer essentials

Hi there! Even though I’m starting this blog mid July, I though I would still share some of my Summer ’17 must haves!

  • All things denim! This summer has been all about the classic fabric. Everything from bottoms, tops, & even shoes have made an appearance in denim this summer.
  • Show off those shoulders! Off the Shoulder tops and dress have provided a way to stay stylish & cool at the same time.
  • Gingham Galore! ย The classic print has made a huge comeback with this summer, & not just with preppy kids either! Sure, gingham will always be a preppy go-to, but I’ve even seen it styled in a few semi-grunge ways.
  • Drop dead perfect peplum! Drop waist tops featuring a slight peplum have been the go to look for casual dinner with friends or even date nights!
